Coyote Buttes, Utah

Coyote Buttes is a section of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness managed by the Bureau of Land Management, spanning extreme south-central Utah and north-central Arizona, south of US 89 halfway between Kanab, Utah and Page, Arizona. It is divided into two areas: Coyote Buttes North and Coyote Buttes South.

On a recent trip to Arizona with friends, our family hired a personal guide to explore this beautiful countryside. Our tour began with our guide driving us in her 4x4 about an hour and a half through the sand to this desert wilderness location. It was a full 10 hour excursion of hiking through Coyotes Buttes and White Pocket. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

Below are photographs I took with my Canon Mark 6D with a prime 16-35mm lens.
